PicScout (www.picscout.com) is the leading technology services provider to the digital content industry. Through its PicApp platform (www.picapp.com), PicScout allows online publishers to quickly and easily post creative and editorial images to blogs and web sites.

We are looking for a creative, self starter individual to join our SF office as the Community Manager/ Social Media Guru; this person will be responsible for reaching out to new bloggers to join our community, fostering participation of existing bloggers, responding to their needs and optimizing the overall experience.

Responsibilities:
• Driving traffic to a new product site through SMO (social media optimization)

• Managing partnerships / affiliations relationship with blogger platforms

• Developing new methods to approach bloggers. Devise and execute strategies to grow the PicApp membership (e.g. posting in online forums, newsletters, blog, and other vital approaches.)

• Generating and managing publishers DB

• Managing publishers communication

• Analyzing trends and reports ,creating necessary reporting metrics in order to measure bloggers participation

• Foreseeing trends in publishers use patterns

• Reaching out to potential content syndication partners

• Working with Product Management to ensure that community requirements are part of the product roadmap

• Promoting events, product releases and enhancements through both conversation and marketing tactics in collaboration with Product Management, Marketing and Sales

Requirements:

• 2-3 years experience managing one or more large online communities.

• Excellent networking skills online and offline

• Demonstrated ability to work independently and be self-motivated. A self-starter with the willingness, and desire, to “roll up your sleeves” and get the job done

• Overwhelming passion and up to date knowledge of Web 2.0 technologies and trends.

• Experience building online interaction among members of a community

• Strong interpersonal skills with a desire to work cross-functionally and in teams

• Proven history of developing new, sustainable processes

• Account management experience.

• Ability to interact-- be in touch with the community online and at public meetings, gatherings, forums, etc.

• Some travel is required, to attend industry tradeshows and events.

• Excellent communicator both verbal and written
