ABOUT THE SITE
MoneySmartLife.com broadcasts a new money article to it’s over 1200 subscribers on a daily basis; articles cover a wide variety of personal finance topics. Established in 2006, the site continues to grow and is looking for a writer interested in sharing in that growth for the long term.


WRITER QUALIFICATIONS
We’re looking for a writer who is not only very familiar with personal finance topics but also has experience blogging.

- Familiarity with personal finance topics such as Budgeting, Credit, Debt, Entrepreneurship, Insurance, Investing, Real Estate, Retirement, Saving Money, Taxes

- Ability to research and write about financial topics

- Blogging and social networking experience (Wordpress experience a plus)

- Familiar with writing SEO friendly post titles and content

- Ability to brainstorm & research article topics on your own; in addition to researching & writing on pre-determined topics. On a typical week you’ll be given an advance list of topics to cover. On occasion you’ll be asked to come up with & research topics on your own. Here are some examples of the type of content you’ll be asked to write:

-- Multiple article Informational/How-To series.
-- Financial News, coverage of recent financial events.
-- Product Reviews. Summary of the costs/benefits & pros/cons of financial products.
-- "Personal" finance post where you share your own financial experience or tips.



RESPONSIBILITIES
- Write 4-5 original articles a week for a total of 10,000 words per month.

- Respond to comments on your articles

- Optional – Promote your articles via blog carnivals & social media. This is not required but there are traffic bonuses.



COMPENSATION
- Base rate is $20 per article

- Traffic Bonuses – Writers earn CPM incentives based on monthly unique visitors

3) Include an explanation of how you gained your personal finance knowledge



HOW WRITERS ARE SELECTED
We’ll get back with you after reviewing your email application.

If we think you’d be a good fit for the site, there will be a PAID trial period where you’ll write a certain number of personal finance posts on the site.

Payment will be $20 per article. If we get applications from multiple promising writers we will offer each a trial period.


PERFORMANCE BONUSES
Our goal is to find a partner, someone that will be writing quality content for the site for an extended period of time.
