b5media is currently hiring for an industry news site for tv / entertainment. The site will highlight news in the industry including: ratings, upfronts, awards shows, marketing news, network news and much more. Opinion pieces will be a main draw, so knowledge of the television industry and familiarity with many tv shows is a plus. In addition to industry news, the site will cover highlights from around the b5 Entertainment channel.

Looking for an upbeat and enticing writing style that will appeal to a broad base of readers, to bring "life" to the topic. Looking for someone willing to network heavily to get insider news.

The site will require up-to-date news, written with an educated and insightful spin. The site will require several updates per day as well as promotion, telephone work gathering exclusives, and on-site community building.

Preference will be given to writers with existing connections in the television industry. Preference will be given to writers in LA, who have availability to attend events.

From time to time the site will have guest authors from inside the b5 Entertainment community. Mostly the coverage will be event-specific. The channel editor, Arieanna Schweber, may write opinion pieces from time to time.

Knowledge of Wordpress, SEO and interviewing a plus. Knowledge of image editing and basic HTML editing a requirement.
