Web-based software company
is looking for aPassionate technology writer to start "how to guide" blog for web-based software suite
Description
Hi! We're looking for a motivated, talented blogger to help start a "how to" blog for our suite of web-based business software products.
We are looking to educate our users with practical "how to" guides, fun tips and tricks and general Q&A guides for our suite of products.
We already have 30,000+ customers and an existing blog but we're looking to make it even better by turning it from a one way news posting system into a fully interactive blog that helps our customers get the most from our software.
A GREAT example of a blog that's doing something similar to what we want to do is here: http://www.articulate.com/rapid-elearning/ - notice the great conversational style of posts, lots of images/screenshots, etc? THAT'S what we're after :)
Do YOU have what it takes to write this blog for us? You don't need to be a "nerd" to use our software but you should know a lot about email marketing, e-commerce/selling online, websites, blogging, etc - you should also be a quick learner because you'll need to learn our suite of products inside out fairly quickly!
We're looking for someone who can commit to this on a long term, and ideally full time (40 or so hours per week) basis.
You can be anywhere in the world and choose which 40 hours in the week you work. You will be writing about cutting edge software which is developed and sold by a team of very passionate technology experts - our customers LOVE our products and we want to give back to them - with this blog.
How to apply
Please email howtosoftwareblogger@gmail.com with:
1. A link to 5 example blog posts you've published recently
2. A summary of your experience and knowledge of email marketing, e-commerce, blogging, etc - why should we choose you for this role?
3. Your country and city, availability and hourly rate. Remember we are looking for someone to blog full time
4. A list of web-based software tools you use often, what you like about them and what you don't like about them
Please excuse the use of a GMail account for job applications - we are a fairly large, well-established company and simply don't want this job post coming up when you search for our company name on Google :)
