AAFR | American Association of Future Retirees

is looking for a

"Preparing for Retirement" Blogger

Category: Co-blogging

Description

The American Association of Future Retirees (AAFR) is aiming to become "the baby boomers' AARP." Our focus is twofold: (1) advocacy (saving Social Security and Medicare, protecting private pensions, fighting age discrimination, etc.), and (2) advice (retirement investing, preparing for retirement, retirement lifestyles, good places to retire, etc.).

Our blog, The Future Retiree (see http://www.aafr.org/future-retiree ), is intended to fulfill our mission and showcase/publicize our organization. We're looking for a blogger who can write on a mix of the topics listed above. The ideal candidate will

* be able to write 2-3 posts of about 100-300 words weekly
* sometimes be able to write a longer "pillar" article (you should know what that means)
* have a good knowledge of SEO
* be able to engage in some promotion thru commenting on appropriate blogs and forums, etc.
* never, ever do anything cheesy, spammy, or "black hat."

Compensation will start off modestly on a trial, per-post basis, and grow as blog traffic grows.

How to apply

If you are qualified for this position, please send us a brief e-mail that

* gives your experience with our topic or similar topics
* links to at least 5 posts you've already written on our topic or similar topics
* tells us how you will help with promotion (if at all)

Send your application to webmaster [at] aafr.org with "problogger" at the beginning of the subject line.

Looking forward to hearing from you!
