A leading Visual FX house is looking to hire an in-house blogger to follow and document the wide array of Commercial, TV, Feature Film, Video Game, and Interactive work that is on-going at our LA based office.
The right person will have strong writing skills and a distinct fun engaging yet professional voice. An interest and passion for visual storytelling in Commercials, Television, Film and Video Games is a must. Also required is a general understanding, interest, and ability to learn about the underlying technology and software behind cutting edge visual FX.
This in-house blogger must have experience utilizing various social media and have the ability to multi-task as both editor, writer, and evangelist to grow the audience of this daily blog. The posting schedule will be daily with the article/post lengths varying dependent on depth of interview, article or post. This person must also have a great feel for the social media space and be able to leverage and mold content effectively across different platforms. Therefore experience with various blogging and micro-blogging platforms (wordpress in particular along with blogger, vox , tumblr, facebook etc.) and an understanding of the different individual communities and audiences is important. Html expertise along with any other programming languages, while not required, is a big plus. Some light Photography, Video, and FCP editing may also play a role in this position.
