Blogger - Job Filled

Category: Miscellaneous

Description

Job Opening: Blogger

This blogger will on average make fifty posts per month. The posts should range from short round-up type posts of a couple hundred words, to feature posts over a thousand words. Expertise in coin collecting is not required but a familiarity with the topic is helpful. Most important is your skills as a blogger, and you should be prepared to give examples.

Our goal is to increase traffic and build the audicence of our existing website. We already have thousands of visits per day and tens of thousands of members. In this niche, however, it's only in the past six months or so that blogging has taken root, and the main blogger's job will be to build up one of the premier blogs in the industry.

Results matter, how and when you work doesn't. You set your own schedule. We can offer ideas on topics to write about, which blogs to watch and so on, but you should be able to quickly reach a level of independence. Your ideas should be more valuable than your time.

In order to reach goals, you may use such tactics as commenting on other blogs, posting on forums, social bookmarking, and similar tactics. As you will be representing our brand, we will expect compliance with all relevant rules and terms of services at all times.

All blog posts will be signed as "by CoinTalk" and you will not be the only blogger, but the primary blogger.

You will not discuss ever the rate which you are being paid to blog, or mention in public, especially on the web, that you are being paid to blog at our website.

Your success will be measured by benchmarks which include raw visits to the blog, subscription numbers, comments, and gaining links to your blog posts from other bloggers.

If you have achieved a level of success in social media (Digg, StumbleUpon, Twitter, etc), please link to your profile, it will help your application (but we most likely will not be asking you to leverage your success in social media for this project except under a branded account name).

How to apply

Please include examples of blogs you've written for previously as well as your salary requirements when you reply via email for this position peter@cointalk.com.
