Looking for a blogger to write 1-3 posts per week about the people and businesses that make Hawaii work.

The site -- Newsblotter.org -- will inform, interest and inspire through real-life examples of what’s working in Hawaii and why. It will feature Pacific Island companies doing business with Aloha and tips for how people can inspire others to do great things in business. Writer will be able to maintain their own byline, or remain anonymous.

All content must be warranted to be original with no infringement on any third parties. I will check all content with "copyscape.com" and plagiarism detection software. Articles that are borrowed, copied, compiled from third-party sources or contain factual errors will not be accepted.

Topics will be provided, but suggestions are also welcome.

Example topics include:
- Profiles on business owners, entrepreneurs and other personalities
- new technology ventures
- acquaculture
- bioscience
- bioengineering
- capital investments
- laws affecting business in Hawaii

REQUIREMENTS:
* 3 posts per week
* AT LEAST one article EACH WEEK must include original research and quotes from a mid-level manager or government employee headquarterd in Hawaii.
* Native English Speaker, superb command of the English language.
* Articles in the range of 400-800 words AND at least 1 image to accompany each post.
* Be able to grow readership and respond to comments within 48-hours.
* All content will be purchased as "work for hire" and all rights will belong to blog owner.
* Experience with Wordpress and familiarity with HTML a plus, but not required.
* Experience living and working in Hawaii a plus.

COMPENSATION
$200/month paid on a bi-weekly basis. You will be an independent contractor.
