Description
Hello,
I have two jobs available:
--------------------------
JOB1: Home Theater & HDTV Blogger
I need a copywriter/blogger for my Home Theater & HDTV sites. You are required to write guides, product reviews and news about audio-video products and brands. You will also have to answer comments and questions on the posts you have written.
Guides:
The purpose of the guides is to teach the consumer about certain things he might be interested in. There are basically two types of guides - buying guides (what he should know before buying) and general guides (what he can do after he already has a product). At times certain topics are quite vast and because of that you wil have to split them into multiple guides each covering a certain aspect.
Reviews:
There are two types of reviews you must write - in-depth reviews (1500-2000 words) and short reviews (500-700 words). The in-depth reviews must cover a product in detail. The short reviews are generally for products in the same series with a product for which you wrote an in-depth review. These products being in the same series are 90%-%100 the same in terms of features, quality, etc. For example a HDTV series could have 4 models each of a different size but all of them being otherwise identical. The short reviews will be a condensed version of the in-depth review and they must be written in a unique way (unique wording) even though the products are basically the same. The quality and style of the reviews will have to be similar/close to that of cnet.com reviews.
Top of products:
You will have to research and see which products are the best and why. Based on this information you will order the products in a certain category as a top (e.g. Best HDTV, Best HDTV under $1500, Best Audio System under $1000, etc).
News:
You will have to follow RSS feeds to stay in touch with the news and write about the most notable things that happen in the industry.
Support Articles/Posts:
The support articles will be posted on article directories and support blogs. They can be guides, reviews or any type of article about HDTV/Home Theater/Audio-Video. Generally they will be shorter than the main posts for my sites (about 500 words).
Requirements and advantages:
- Be available on Yahoo Messenger or Skype and be able to voice chat (have headphones+microphone).
- Be creative and have a rich vocabulary. You must write about the same exact thing multiple times in different ways and because of that creativity and vocabulary are very important. For example you could have to write 6 distinct in-depth reviews of the exactly same product.
- You must have excellent research skills.
- Be a native English speaker and live in continental USA.
- Write gramatically correct and have a clear, logical writing style. Be able to split a post in sections so that it is easy to "scan" fast and extract important ideas (e.g. In the case of a review the sections could be: Pros and Cons, Performance (with its own subsections), Design, Features, Compared to..., etc).
- Basic knowledge of HTML is an advantage.
- Experience working with WordPress or other CMS is an advantage.
- Experience with basic photo editing (cropping, resizing, etc.) is an advantage.
- Experience with the following is also an advantage: forums, social posting/bookmarking sites (e.g. Digg, StumbeUpon, del.icio.us, etc.). If one of the posts you wrote made it to the first page on such a site, that is an advantage.
- Be a fast learner and especially be willing to learn new things. In time you will likelly have to learn new technologies and adapt to new methodologies. You will also have to be willing to understand HDTV and Home Theater products and market in order to make connections between product reviews, guides, etc.
- Experience/knowledge with HDTV and Home Theater is a big advantage.
- Experience submitting to article directories is an advantage.
Monthly budget: $300 - $600. For first month the budget is $1000.
--------------------------
JOB2: Writing Spinnable Content
For this job you are required to write spinnable content in a spcific format (details below). This content will pass through a program that will use it to generate multiple different articles.
You have to:
- Be available on Yahoo Messenger or Skype and be able to voice chat (have headphones+microphone).
- Be creative and have a rich vocabulary. You must write about the same exact thing multiple times in different ways and because of that creativity and vocabulary are very important.
- Have a high attention to details. The format in which you will write requires high attention and concentration in order not to make mistakes.
- You must have perfect grammar and write correctly in English. If you are a native English speaker and live in continental USA it is an advantage.
- Basic knowledge of HTML is an advantage.
- Be a fast learner and especially be willing to learn new things. In time you will likelly have to learn new technologies and adapt to new methodologies.
- Experience with article directories is an advantage. If you never posted on article directories you will have to be willing to learn (it is very easy, you just have to want to do it).
- Experience with content rewriting and especially writing content in spinnable format are big advantages.
Details about article spinning:
This may seem very difficult at the begining, however once you actually do it it gets easy. Go and see the following links (make sure you see the entire video and read the entire PDF):
http://www.myarticlenetwork.com/files/spinningvideo/spinning.html
http://www.myarticlenetwork.com/files/article-spinning-guide.pdf
I will not use that spinner presented in the above links but my own spinner. The difference is that my spinner supports any number of spinning levels and it only uses [, ] and | special characters for all the levels. It also has a few other features that will help you work faster.
You will be required to write 4-level spinnable content. You will receive articles that are made up of a few paragraphs. For each paragraph you will write anything between 2 to 5 equivalent pararaphs. Then, for each sentence in each of the paragraphs, you will write up to 5 sentences with the same meaning. Then, for each word or group of words in a sentence you will write a few synonyms. If the original article had 500 words, after you do all this it will end up having around 5000 words. You will be payed for the number of words of the resulting (spinnable) article (in this case for 5000 words).
Monthly budget: $200-$500.
