Furniture Fashion (furniturestoreblog.com) and PoshPosh (poshposh.com) are looking for experienced writers that have a good command of the English language with a grasp on proper grammar to write “big stories” or “social media targeted stories” for our sites. Most of our posts feature a single item, but we want to promote “larger compilations presenting a unique storyline/angle” on a variety of topics. These stories are typical of those that have an appeal on social media networks such as Digg, Stumbleupon, Reddit, Delicio and Mixx. Writing for social media sites takes a special approach to story writing, a knack for research, coming up with unique topics, so we are looking for this in our writers. The ideal candidates will have experience writing articles aimed at social media and have a proven track record to prove it. Compensation is to be worked out between the company and candidates based on prior experience, depth of story writing and the projected number of hours required to complete a story.

Acceptable Topic Areas for Articles: architecture, any home décor products, homes/houses, all fashion items, fashion accessories, furniture, home accessories, cool stuff, design, travel, (open to others based on creativity). (Summary – basically anything for the home or fashion related)

The company puts focus on outstanding pictures that are intriguing and visually impressive. They must be a good quality with clarity and high DPI if possible with a minimum size of 375 wide (we can resize). As in our example stories we want impressive and unique items with some detail and how they fit the “angle of the article’s story line”.

Compensation and Productivity
Productivity is open as we understand that it may take time to research and craft these stories. Compensation is to be worked out between the company and candidates based on prior experience, depth of story writing and the projected number of hours required to complete a story. We are flexible to writers’ schedules and can work on a time frame that is suitable to both parties. Payment can be made by check or through Paypal. Any writer will be expected to sign an independent contractor agreement and receive a 1099 if living in the United States.

Requirements
1. Prior experience writing articles designed for social media.
2. Must be enthusiastic and be able to write interesting articles.
3. Be creative, critical and articulate in creating new story angles that have not been “over-covered” on the web.
4. Have strong research/analysis skills. Check facts well.
5. Be familiar with writing for the web.
6. Fit the topic areas of: architecture, any home décor products, homes/houses, all fashion items, fashion accessories, furniture, home accessories, travel, (open to others based on creativity). Summary – basically anything for the home or fashion related)

I will tag, link, and post stories, and prepare pictures for posting on the site. If you possess Movable Type skills it would be considered a huge plus and we may consider further compensation to complete the entire process.
