Are you a fan of American Idol and other worldwide Idol competitions? b5media is currently hiring for our large established blog (www.idolstalker.com) covering the reality franchise.

The applicant will be a fan of American Idol and preferably will have watched since the start of the series. The topics covered on the blog include current news, spoilers, & recaps of active American Idol seasons, updates about past Idol winners or competitors, and updates about worldwide Idol competitions. In the past this has included recaps / spoilers in-depth for the Canadian competition so preference will be given to bloggers who can continue that.

The blog will require daily updates including: candid photos of current/past stars and judges, candid videos, interviews, spoiler updates, twitter monitoring, news updates, gossip monitoring etc. During active seasons you will post spoilers as well as multi-part recaps covering each performance as well as a summary of the night (see the blog for past examples). This can be an intense experience during active seasons.

The writer must be willing to post at least 8 times per week, and as many as 2-3 updates per day. During show nights you can expect as many as 8-10 updates (yes, it's an active site!). Each day must cover all the relevant news, as readers of this community demands. The writer must be willing to actively engage with readers on the blog, via the blog's Twitter account, and in other online communities. The writer is actively encouraged to solicit interviews with current and past Idol competitors.

Knowledge of Wordpress, SEO and interviewing a plus. Knowledge of image editing (resizing, etc) and basic HTML editing a requirement.
