Public Relations/Social Media Specialist

REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
•5 – 7 years of public relations, marketing and/or journalism experience
•Proven ability to meet deadlines in a complex, matrix environment
•Strong writing and project management skills
•Excellent communications skills in the BtoB market and the ability to tell stories and share insights in ways that break through the clutter
•Thorough understanding of the social media landscape including social media tools Web sites, Web design, blogs, podcasts, vlogs, online community destinations, SEO/SEM. RSS, etc
•Deep experience with Wordpress, social networks, and online community building.
•Experience working with senior level executives and success in selling and delivering high-impact new media solutions.
•Track record of delivering innovative digital/new media programs that support brand strategy, engage clients and prospects, increase awareness, and promote advocacy
•Passion for strategy and tactics, including advising management on alternative approaches and rolling up your sleeves to get the job done
•Attention to detail and a commitment to the highest quality
•Experience in the management consulting profession and familiarity with technology issues is a plus

TYPICAL RESPONSIBILITIES

•Write and edit copy on business, technology, and industry issues
•Monitor daily online activity, surface opportunities with subject matter experts and execute responsive actions with influential bloggers, industry experts and influencers
•Identify and implement new methods for identifying and reaching online influencers as opportunities emerge
•Collaborate with subject matter experts to manage and maintain robust blog sites
•Develop processes that streamline online outreach and effectively leverage subject matter experts
•Work with other members of the marketing team and industry and service line leaders to incorporate social channels into the campaign plans, apply social media activities into building relationships with the top prospects and expand relationships at current accounts
•Actively engage in client account strategy to ensure strategic alignment with business objectives
•Oversee all project management: time lines, internal and external development resources, meeting deadlines
•Establish and monitor program metrics for all digital programs
•Work with IT department to manage Web site updates, and development of blogs, Twitter activity, LinkedIn, podcasts, widgets, videos and other online content
•SEO and SEM strategy and implementation
