Magnet Media seeking a fast-paced and dedicated individual to fill the position of Blog/Newsletter Editor for our Corporate Blog.

The ideal candidate is extremely web-savvy with some general knowledge of the Digital Marketing space. SEO experience as it pertains to writing, publishing, and promoting content with the goal of driving traffic is a must. Experience with WordPress and SEO tools such as scribe and Raven are a plus.

The two top-level goals of the corporate blog are (1) establishing Magnet Media as a thought-leader in the digital marketing space (2) ultimately driving Leads for the Magnet Media sales team by driving blog viewership and establishing regular touch points with that viewership via newsletter sign ups, fans on Facebook, and Twitter followers.

Management of a regular corporate newsletter with attention to ‘open rates’ and ‘clicks’ will also be an important part of this role.

SOME RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
• Create and update monthly editorial calendar

• Create SEO keyword list for to support and focus editorial calendar

• Manage team of remote writers

• Edit and publish articles

• Own and manage budget

• Promote content through social media outlets including Twitter, Facebook, and LinkedIn

• Work with Marketing department to manage a regular Corporate Newsletter

• Assist in copywriting for Corporate Site, Sales Assets, and Sales Presentations

REQUIREMENTS:
• Outstanding writing and editing skills (grammar, syntax)

• Ability to meet tight deadlines and manage time effectively

• Genuine interest in subject matter

• Background in on-line editing with a focus on SEO and metrics

• Strong project management skills and ability to execute consistently and within budget

• Strong expertise in social media technology.

• Understanding of ‘online’ and ‘social media’ metrics and measurement
