Description

Writer with a background in technology wanted to compose simple technology lessons learned using a format of 3 sentences and 100 words total.

The lessons learned can be sourced from your experience or through online research. Any online sources must be referenced.

Lessons learned must be relevant to professionals who manage technology in large enterprise.

It is hoped that this results in an ongoing relationship for additional engagement.

The specific format required is provided below together with two examples.

Payment will be made by Paypal unless otherwise agreed.

If this role is of interest please keep reading!

Lessons learned are to be from one of the following categories (to enable a reference for the coverage of each category please visit cio.com where the same categories are used): Applications, Architecture, Cloud Computing, Data Centre, Development, Hardware, Internet, Mobile, Network, Operating Systems, Security, Virtualisation and Web 2.0.

Format required:

Sentence 1 - When I selected/ designed/ implemented/ managed ... technology/ service/ product/ project... I learned that...

Sentence 2 - This applies if you...

Sentence 3 - So if I did this again I would...

Example 1:
When I managed a boardroom fit out I learned that poor room acoustics can cause echo during a video conference.

This applies if you are planning to have lots of glass walls and hard ceilings as this will introduce echo into your video conference system.

So if I did this again I would make sure to design the room with acoustics in mind using one of the many guides available from video conferencing vendors.

Example 2:

When implementing a cloud computing solution I learned that Internet quality is critical.

This applies if you have an Internet connection with a lower availability than expected by users of the cloud computing solution.

So if I did this again I would understand my end user availability requirement and improve my Internet quality before giving users access to the cloud computing solution.

Please note:
1 - The first sentence must be no more than 120 characters and all three sentences must be less than 100 words total. The format provided must be used exactly.
2 - All output, including the lessons learned requested as part of applying, must be provided in a spreadsheet with 5 columns. The first with the category of the lesson learned, the next 3 columns for the lesson learned (one for each sentence of the specified format) and a fifth column for an online reference if applicable.

How to apply

To apply please email richard_e_tucker@hotmail.com one example lesson learned to demonstrate understanding of the format required together with your expected remuneration to provide 50 lessons learned delivered in the required format within 5 business days of confirmation of engagement.

By applying you agree that all output will be original from a copyright perspective (that is the lessons themselves do not need to be original) and that ownership of the output including copyright is completely transferred to Richard Tucker.
