HNJ is a holistic nutrition and fitness blog with an emphasis on healthy well being and disease prevention by implementing a whole foods and plant-based diet. Also emphasis on the mind/body/soul connection, veganism, vegan fitness and living an overall organic, toxic-free and cruelty-free lifestyle. We are looking for contributing authors to add to our team that are able to write informative yet inspiring and motivational posts that also references studies, clinical trials and statistics whenever possible.

This position is part time and will require 2-3 quality posts per week. Also this position will require online community engagement with Facebook and Twitter for approx. 1-2 hours per week. (Additional work available with partner sites)

Ideal candidate qualifications:
-2+ years experience in professional writing (blogging and/or writing for web experience highly preferred).
-Passion for holistic, natural nutrition, alternative healing, veganism, fitness and disease prevention.
-Lives vegetarian, vegan or raw lifestyle
-Experience and respectable presence on social sites (Twitter, Facebook, and/or Google Plus)
-Knowledge of Genetically Engineered(GE)Foods and non-GMO grassroots food activism movements
-Basic knowledge of SEO techniques, keywords, tags, Wordpress, linking strategies, image re-sizing and social media best practices.
-Digital photography capabilities is a plus
-Online press release writing is a plus
-Excellent grammar

The right candidate will have professional writing experience and be able to provide at least 3 links to high quality published work (or personal blog entries). Writing style should illustrate ability to write concisely with a bit of 'fun and flair' for readers while still implementing scientific or relevant references and SEO optimization for search engines.

This is a paid, contracted/1099, telecommuting position paid bi-weekly via Pay Pal and you will receive credit for all your work. Your bio will be highlighted on the site as 'contributing author'.
