American Consumer News, an online magazine which focuses on consumer oriented issues is looking for a writer/blogger to serve as an assistant editor. The magazine covers topics such as money saving tips, frugality, ways to accomplish house-hold tasks for less money, personal finance, real estate, investing, debt, credit, and much more.

As an assistant editor, you will be writing a daily post (5-7 total per week, minimum length of 400 words) which provides information valuable to consumers on one of the above topics. In addition you’ll be required to actively participate on the American Consumer News forum and participate in promoting your articles.

The ideal candidate would be self-motivated, have a strong command of the English language, be able to come up with topics to write upon on their own and be passionate about saving money and teaching others to do the same. Knowledge of the Word Press blogging suite and previous blogging or writing experience is beneficial, but not required.

This is paid position; you will be compensated $5.00 for each article you write and receive 5% of the company’s AdSense advertising revenue.
